My sister Sharon, me, and my lovely mother, in 2008
Several years ago I became curious about the later developmental stages of life. My parents were in their 40’s when I was born, and I always felt it was a great advantage to have been born to parents who had long since “found themselves” and were moving into the phase of life where they wondered what they had to offer the world rather than the other way around. I’m sure this has something to do with my affection for elders, who, more than other times in their lives, are not as adept at attracting connections with others. What I noticed, in fact, were people’s growing aversions to aging and being with people who remind them of their mortality.
One of the missions of my company, Ageless-Sages.com Publishing, it to bridge that generation gap. There is so much we can gain by facing our aversions and fears and giving of ourselves to elders. What we receive in return is more profound than you can imagine. Of course it will be different for everyone, yet, experience has taught me, equal in empowerment.
We are committed to helping people to remember the
glorious human beings that they are, at any stage of life.
